Initial Consultation & Assessment

Our offerings feature Strategy Facilitation, Organisation Design, Optimal Structuring, Implementation and related practices.

This necessitates a consultation meeting (in-person or online), to understand your specific organisational challenges and to advise on a finely tailored approach that will facilitate the desired solutions.

Too often, organisations invite proposals for solutions without first consulting with specialised entities like Orgstrat - resulting in inappropriate tenders that do not make practical sense and result in ill-fated campaigns. 

A common example is when an entity requests a major restructuring exercise, describing the process in detail - yet failing to realise the error of not commencing with Strategy, then Operating Model, followed by Organisation Design.

The chief goal of our initial complimentary consultation is to establish and clarify the context of the organisation's needs, and the fundamental intent of the leadership in the overarching solution

We quickly assess and establish an overview of the challenges and an appropriate course of action

The general budget to achieve these goals will be established at this point.

Proposal & Budget Setting

A carefully tailored, detailed programme and work plan is typically developed upon a request for a proposal.

Most often, the organisation details how the programme and work plan should flow. However, in most instances, the work plan is based on a misunderstanding of how strategy flows to the operating model, to organisation design and then structure. 

In such cases, GHC will point this out to the institution and propose the correct work plan and process flow with a detailed explanation. 

One-on-one meetings and a presentation may follow to understand the work plan and to finalise the proposed budget.

At this stage, it is also agreed which staff members from the client will be drafted as proteges, to work alongside our specialists. As specialist organisational practitioners, we have a passion for people development

Solution Implimentation

The organisation transformation process commences with a review of the strategy, the operating model, the organisation design and the organisation structure. Collectively, this initial process can last between three to six months, depending on the nature, size and complexities of the organisation. 

Examples of a total intervention or parts of the process eg developing an operating model or how stratified organisation structuring works and automated costing of structuring options, can be provided on request. Every organisation’s needs and therefore requests at a given point in time will be different from the next.  Just let us know.
